Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU)
At Sri Raju Heart & Skin Hospital, our Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU) is a highly specialised facility designed to provide round-the-clock monitoring and emergency care for patients with critical cardiac conditions. Equipped with advanced life-saving technology and manned by a dedicated team of experienced cardiologists, nurses, and technicians, our ICCU is built to respond swiftly and effectively to complex cardiac emergencies.
The ICCU is essential for managing life-threatening conditions such as acute myocardial infarction (heart attack), arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, severe hypertension, pulmonary embolism, and cardiac arrest. Every bed in our unit is supported by continuous cardiac monitoring systems that track vital signs like heart rate, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure in real time.
We are also equipped with defibrillators, ventilators, infusion pumps, and emergency resuscitation equipment. What sets our ICCU apart is the seamless coordination between doctors, nurses, and support staff, ensuring each patient receives immediate, personalised attention during critical moments.
Special protocols are followed for early intervention, including thrombolytic therapy, primary angioplasty, or temporary pacemaker support when necessary. The ICCU also serves as a transition space for post-surgical cardiac care or high-risk patients needing close observation before returning to a regular room.
Whether it’s stabilising a heart attack patient or managing arrhythmias, our ICCU represents a commitment to excellence in emergency cardiac care. At Sri Raju Hospital, your heart is in safe hands—24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
