Coronary Angioplasty

Coronary Angioplasty, also known as Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), is a life-saving procedure used to open narrowed or blocked coronary arteries and restore normal blood flow to the heart. At Sri Raju Heart & Skin Hospital, our experienced team of interventional cardiologists performs this procedure using advanced techniques and world-class infrastructure within our state-of-the-art Cath Lab.

The process begins with a coronary angiogram to identify the location and severity of the blockage. During angioplasty, a thin catheter with a balloon at its tip is guided through a blood vessel to the affected artery. The balloon is then inflated to compress the plaque against the artery walls, widening the passage and improving blood flow. In most cases, a stent (a small wire mesh tube) is inserted to keep the artery open long-term.

This minimally invasive procedure is especially vital for patients suffering from acute heart attacks, severe chest pain, or significant artery blockages. It can significantly reduce symptoms, prevent future cardiac events, and even save lives in emergency scenarios.

Sri Raju Heart & Skin Hospital is committed to providing affordable, high-quality cardiac interventions to the community. Our Cath Lab is equipped with advanced imaging systems and monitoring tools, ensuring precision during the procedure. We follow stringent post-operative protocols and offer personalised care to help patients recover quickly and resume their daily lives with confidence.

Our aim is to make advanced cardiac care accessible to all, regardless of location or background—because every heartbeat matters.
